About the North Dakota Ethanol Council
The North Dakota Ethanol Council (NDEC) works to strengthen and grow North Dakota’s ethanol industry through research, education, promotion, and market development.
Established by the North Dakota Legislature in 2009, NDEC represents the state’s ethanol producers and works to increase awareness of ethanol and the important role the industry plays in North Dakota.
Through industry research, educational outreach, promotion, and market development, NDEC helps create new opportunities for ethanol and its co-products while sharing the story of an industry deeply connected to North Dakota agriculture.
North Dakota’s ethanol industry adds value to locally grown corn, supports farmers and livestock producers, creates quality jobs, strengthens rural communities, and contributes to the state’s economy. As the industry continues to evolve, NDEC works to educate North Dakotans, explore new opportunities, and support the continued growth of ethanol across the state.
